Nurse Aid I

The Nurse Aide I or Certified Nursing Assistant program introduces students to basic nursing skills needed in a healthcare setting and is approved by the NC Division of Health Service Regulation. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides basic care under the direction of nursing staff. They perform duties such as feed, bathe, dress, groom, move patients, or change linens. CNAs must be licensed by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and be listed on the Nurse Aide I Registry.

PRE-REQUISITE: Intro to Healthcare Careers or Successful Completion of English & Math College Level

NOTE: Clinical training will be on Saturdays from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Nurse Aide I Refresher

The Nurse Aide I Refresher course consists of a brief review of the Nurse Aide I curriculum and the competency exam required for listing as a Nurse Aide I with the NC Division of Health Service Regulation. Original certification expiration cannot exceed 5 years to be eligible to enroll.
