The college offers two programs designed for adults who have not completed high school: the Adult Basic Education (ABE) program and the High School Equivalency Diploma program. These programs provide instruction ranging from courses to meet the needs of individuals requiring basic literacy instruction to those designed to improve the skills of high school graduates.

Interested students must attend an orientation session with a representative from Sampson Community College’s College & Career Readiness department before taking classes or taking the test(s).
Enrollment of Minors
All students under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian complete and return the Parental Consent for Alternative Education Form prior to entry into the program.
