Counseling Services

Overview

Counseling Services at Sampson Community College (SCC) provide academic, career, and personal counseling from pre-admission through graduation, for current and prospective students.  These services enhance students’ success by assisting with academic and personal concerns that could negatively impact their ability to succeed in the educational setting.  Any information that is discussed during counseling sessions are in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Acts (FERPA) of 1974.  Services offered include:

Disability Services
The college provides appropriate accommodations for students registered with Accessibility Services to participate in, contribute to, and benefit from its academic programs, functions, and activities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Childcare Assistance Services
SCC offers childcare assistance through a grant-funded, need-based program, to offset the cost of childcare expenses, while curriculum-enrolled students attend their classes.
