Mission Statement: The purpose of the Learning Resource Center (formerly Library Services) is to support the institution in its educational, occupational, and cultural endeavors through careful selection, acquisition, interpretation, and provision of information resources.

PURPOSE:

The goal of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) is to be a major resource for the college. The general purpose of the LRC is to support the total educational program of Sampson Community College (SCC). To meet the needs of students, faculty, and the community we provide a carefully selected collection of materials. The LRC staff and the materials housed in the LRC will help meet course objectives, supplement classroom work, assist with reference questions or problems, and enhance the use of free time.  Through networking, and interlibrary loan we have access to any materials available.

The LRC subscribes to two digital library collections and provides access to 97 digital resources which includes databases, journal articles, e-books, films via NC LIVE, and the resources of the State Library. Additionally, the LRC houses a physical collection of materials arranged for easiest accessibility.

**Special hours, such as those during semester breaks, will be posted at the Library entrance.
