Current Faculty Openings:

CHEMISTRY INSTRUCTOR

  • Master’s Degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
  • Previous teaching experience preferred.

Positions will remain open until filled. Review of applications will begin 5/20/19.

EMERGENCY MEDICAL SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the teaching discipline or Associate Degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline.
  • Certification as a provider in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Education for Pre-Hospital Provider (PEPP).
  • A North Carolina Level I Paramedic Instructor credential and be eligible for Level II instructor status within one year of employment; Level II instructor credentials preferred.

SPANISH INSTRUCTORS (2)

Requirements include: Master’s Degree in Spanish or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate hours in Spanish required; previous teaching experience preferred. Applications found at www.sampsoncc.edu. Positions will remain open until filled.

PSYCHOLOGY INSTRUCTOR (9.6 Month Position)

Requirements include: Master’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution in the discipline taught or Master’s Degree with 18 graduate semester hours from a regionally accredited institution in the discipline taught required. Teaching experience in a community college or university setting and experience delivering online and/or hybrid courses preferred. Day and evening hours required. Positions will remain open until filled. First review of applications will begin April 22, 2019.

BUSINESS/ACCOUNTING INSTRUCTOR (9.6 month position):

Requirements Include: (a) Master’s Degree in Accounting, or (b) MBA with 18 credit hours in graduate-level accounting courses. Previous experience teaching Business and Accounting courses preferred. Position will remain open until filled.

Part-Time HVAC Instructor | WD&CE

Requirements Include: (1) Current NC Heating & Air License; (2) Minimum of five years in the field (10 preferred); (3) Passion for sharing the trade with students. Offered through SCC’s division of Workforce Development and Continuing Education (WD&CE). Classes start in January 2019.

SUPPORT STAFF

  • Associate Degree in Administrative Office Technology, Business Administration or related field.

STUDENT SUCCESS COACH

Requirements include: Bachelor’s Degree required. Duties include the following: (a) promoting a positive and successful learning experience for students in an effort to increase student retention, success and completion, (b) overseeing registration and assessments and presenting a comprehensive orientation program aimed at motivating and engaging new students (c) assisting students with goal-setting and providing continuous communication and follow up to maximize goal attainment. Position will remain open until filled but application packets will be reviewed beginning April 24, 2019.
