Earn Your Degree or Certificate | General Admissions

If you are interested in earning credit to use towards a degree, diploma or certificate, you will need to first complete the General Admissions process. This includes students whose intention is to transfer to a four-year college or university after graduation from SCC, students currently attending another college or university that need to earn special credit for a particular course, and current high school students wanting to earn college credit while still in high school through our Career & College Promise dual-enrollment program.

New & Re-Admit Students

If you have already graduated high school and have never attended Sampson Community College (SCC), you are considered a New Student. If it has been more than a year since you have taken classes at SCC, you are a Re-Admit Student.

High School Students

If you are currently attending high school in Sampson County, you may be eligible to participate in our Career & College Promise (CCP) program for dual-enrolled students to earn college credits while still in high school.

Visiting & Special Credit Students

If you are currently attending another college or university and simply want to take a course or two at an affordable cost at Sampson Community College, you are a Visiting Student. If you want to take a for-credit class for your own personal development, you are a Special Credit Student.

Transfer Students

If you are currently attending another college or university and are interested in transferring to Sampson Community College, you are a Transfer Student.
