Sampson Community College is committed to your success and offers many free services and resources to students, including the following:
Counseling Services: Counselors assist students in identifying educational and personal objectives consistent with their career or transfer goals. Counseling and referrals are also provided for personal or social issues.
Financial Aid: Financial aid staff provide guidance and direction for current and prospective students applying for federal student aid (PELL Grant) and scholarships. All students are encouraged to apply.
Disability Services: Support resources and accommodations are provided for students with disabilities (i.e. physical, mental, learning, vision or hearing). Services help ensure that programs, facilities, resources, and activities are accessible to all students.
Career Services: Students and graduates can receive help with career exploration, goal planning, and guidance with job searches. Counselors provide guidance and assistance with career services.
Tutoring: Professional and peer tutoring services are available to all currently enrolled students at no cost. Students are eligible for services through the Trio Student Support Services program or through Academic Peer Tutoring.
Technology Services: Students are issued an SCC e-mail account, WebAdvisor account, and access to the College’s Learning Management System (Moodle). Computer access is available in the Academic Success Center.
