Mr. Gravis began his employment at Sampson Community College on September 1, 1991.  He graduated from Ball State University with a B.S. in psychology in 1988, and an M.A. in sociology in 1991.  Prior to his employment at SCC, Mr. Gravis taught sociology at Indiana University-Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Indiana, while completing final coursework on his master’s degree.  Mr. Gravis taught sociology on a full-time basis until 2005, which is when he became the Online Learning Coordinator.  Mr. Gravis became the Director of Distance Learning on January 1, 2009, and continues in that role to this day.
