Mr. Gravis joined the faculty and staff at Sampson Community College on September 1, 1991. He graduated from Ball State University with a B.S. in psychology in 1988, and an M.A. in sociology in 1991. Prior to his employment at SCC, Mr. Gravis taught sociology part-time at Indiana University in Fort Wayne, Indiana, while completing work on his masters degree. He has taken additional courses at North Carolina State University. Mr. Gravis taught sociology full-time until August of 2005. He is now the online learning coordinator at SCC. In his spare time Mr. Gravis enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with his family.
