FOCUSED INDUSTRIAL TRAINING (FIT)

Focused Industrial Trianing (FIT) provides programs to meet the needs of employees and employers in existing manufacturing or information technology industries. A need analysis is conducted and training is developed to fit those specific needs. Training programs are developed to address the special demands in the workplace. These may cover such topics as industrial mechanics, electronics, CNC, robotics, and others. FIT is important to industries that require training for a small number of employees. Sampson Community College now has a FIT Center to help manufacturing industries with customized training needs. FIT classes can take place on or off site, and are tailored to your specific training needs. The FIT Center at Sampson Community College was the first of its kind. It is a consortium with James Sprunt Community College and serves the businesses and industries of both Duplin and Sampson counties.
