| This 16-hour class will help students become better prepared to enter the workplace by developing good communication skills, job interview skills and work ethics. Keyboarding for the Workplace
| This 39-hour class will help students become familiar with the keyboard and computer hand/findger placement. They will learn about work area ergonomics in relation to the computer and the keyboard. Students will develop their keyboarding and speed skills through various exercises. Students will develop fundamental skills for preparing employment related documents. The tuition fee is $60.00 (fee waived for qualifying students). Pre-requisite: None |

Basic Computers for the Workplace (English and Hispanic)
| This 39-hour class will help students obtain a general knowledge of computers, basic computer terms, and basic computer-use skills which will improve the student's employability. The students will be introduced to the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) function when working with documents. Studens will also get an introduction to a computer operating system. The tuition is $60.00 (fee waived for qualifying students). Pre-requisite: None |

Computer Empowerment for the Workplace
| This 39-hour class will help students obtain an understanding of a word processing application and its basic features. Students will utilize the word processing application to create employment documents. Students will also be introducted to a spreadsheet application and its basic features. Students will prepare employment related spreadsheet documents. The tuition fee is $60.00 (fee waived for qualifying students).

Internet Basics for the Workplace
| This 39-hour class will help students become familiar with the fundamentals of utilizing the Internet for employment related needs. Topics to be covered include Web browsing, search engines, keywords, and email. By the end of this course, students will be able to utilize the Internet for employement related purposes. Food Service Careers
| This 45-hour class will introduce students to careers in the food service industry. Students will learn about basic food preparation, sanitation, nutrition, menu planning and food service management . The tuition fee is $60.00 (fee waived for qualifying

Health Care Math & Reading Readiness
This HRD class is available for students who need extra help in math and reading to prepare for a health care program/occupation. The tuition fee will be $55.00 (fee waived for qualifying students). Pre-requisite: None |

Introduction to Health Care Careers
| This class is a pre-requisite for the following
courses: Nursing Assistant, Dialysis Technician, Phlebotomy
Education, Pharmacy Technician, and EKG Technician. The
tuition fee is $55.00 (fee waived for qualifying students).

| This 45-hour class will help students explore the occumpation of a Clerical Office Skills worker by developing basic employability skills in that field.
